Online Shopping and Google

A new article circling and published on Reuters claim that Google In has been talking to some of the U.S. wireless carrier networks .  Why , I hear you ask, simply to out manoeuvre Apple Inc recent endeavour and entry in to the nascent market of mobile payments..   AT&T Mobility, T-Monbile USA and Verison Wireless have all been reported, that later this year they will include the Google Wallet App on their Android Smart phones sold in the US, on the official Google Blog on Monday .

In addition to the post Google have also posted that an acquisition of the technology form Softcard has already been secured.

Google Wallet app stored the user’s credit or debit information securely allowing easy and quick shopping and has been around since its demonstration on May 2011 and then released as a full App in September of the same year.   Currently it covers one 300,000 Master card PayPass locations and Visa not that far behind in the US .

Some sceptics think Google will not be launched as a point-of-sale payments in the UK.
Only time will tell whether this to be true. Apple’s commitment to build Apple Pay, along with PayPal’s existing presence here and the UK’s shopping trends all build towards a slower uptake.  Swiping your phone to pay for goods whether they be limited to a certain value or authorised with thumbprints are going to be here soon and there is nothing we can do bout it, however we think that more responsive Mobile device eCommerce solutions will be a winner in the UK.

By building your companies  eCommerceWebsite to accept payments quickly and on the move is a win win situation.
